News Issue 1: 2/5/25
It's February. Yesterday was one of the nicest days of this long wintery season, a high of 60. Monroe Park was full of the sounds of music, laughter, and joy. It quickly turned chilly and brisk as the sun fell, and I found myself standing outside on the street very regretful that I had chosen to wear just a shortsleeve t-shirt for the torso of my outfit.
I hope this newsletter finds you well amidst the chaos of world events. Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a minute to think about better things. Better times when you were younger and things were simpler. Or maybe not, but I urge you all who read this to not give up. Be hopeful. Be strong.
I also urge you to take action. Use your voices and your art and creativity to make this world for everyone. Your voice matters, and it can be a powerful tool. Stand up for Transgender individuals who face scrutiny and unjust treatment from those around them. Stand up for Palestine and those suffering the aftermath of a genocide in Gaza, as our world leaders look the other way. Stand up for everyone, young and old, tall and short, strong and weak, for a better future. Remember,this world is full of PEOPLE, not monsters. And with that, we are strong.
